This adapter is specifically developed to enable the mounting of the Nimble extruder onto the innovative Smart Effector PCB, developed by Escher3D and Think3dPrint3d. It utilizes an E3D hot end mount, ensuring an integrated and functional solution for your 3D printer. The adapter contributes to a stable extruder setup, crucial for achieving consistent and precise print results.
Installation is straightforward; the adapter bolts onto the hot end mount, after which the Nimble extruder is mounted directly onto the adapter. It also incorporates a 5 mm depth for the PTFE tube, helping to clamp it securely in place in the hot end for optimal filament guidance.
For additional functionality, the adapter includes a practical tube holder for connecting a part cooling system, such as a Berd-Air-like system. This holder is positioned slightly offset to maintain full visibility of any LED indicators on printed parts. Furthermore, the design has been continuously improved, including adjustments to spacers and a design that specifically lowers one "foot" close to the six-pin black connector. This makes it easier to release the connector's wire lock or clip and reduces the risk of damage, improving both usability and durability.
With the Zesty Nimble extruder, weighing less than 27 grams and mountable in multiple directions, you get a lightweight solution with ample pulling power. This adapter supports the full utilization of Nimble's potential for an optimized printing experience.
