This battery holder bracket is designed to allow you to utilize the power from your EGO 56V tool batteries for an e-bike or other customization projects. It is a practical solution, especially if you need a dedicated holder without having to repurpose parts from an existing EGO tool.
The set includes files for several mounting options: a basic holder for placement in a pack or attachment with straps to a luggage carrier, as well as a "thick" version with an integrated locking function. The thick version provides extra clearance for the locking tab, ensuring the battery remains securely fastened during riding and can be easily removed afterwards. A wire clip and an extra base are also included, offering flexibility for both permanent and detachable mounting on, for example, a bicycle frame or luggage carrier.
For optimal function, the holder requires supplementary materials such as thin stainless steel for the battery contacts and the optional locking pawl. Mounting typically involves some degree of customization to ensure the best fit and stability.
The battery sits snugly and securely in the holder, and the locking function helps prevent unwanted shifting. Although the holder is robust, additional fastening methods may be considered depending on your specific application and the conditions it will be used under, such as rough terrain.
Pay attention to the correct polarity when connecting wires. Be sure to avoid short-circuiting during installation, and handle the stainless steel parts with care as they may be sharp.
