High-strength bag clip for 3D printing
Highlights
The High Strength Bag Clip is a 3D printable bag clip that creates an almost airtight seal with most plastic bags - from standard 2mil polyethylene bags to thick multi-layer coffee bags. This clip grips the bag more aggressively than other designs and does not rely on flexure hinges or print-in-place parts. STL files are provided for 100mm and 160mm clips; larger sizes are possible. Original Solidworks CAD files are included for customization.
In 2021, a mini version was added, which has a 68mm wide clamping area, uses about 50% less material than V1.1, and clamps tighter (0.25mm gap vs 0.5mm) to seal small and thin bags more effectively.
For the best seal, thin single-layer bags should be folded before clipping.
