The stand for the Lenovo Thinkpad E495 (E490) is designed with three important purposes in mind:

  1. It gives your laptop an angle for a more comfortable typing experience.
  2. It improves convection cooling when the fan is off, as it elevates the laptop and does not block any vents.
  3. If you use a DELL WD15 dock, it protects the USB-C port, which is very long and puts a lot of force on the connector.

The stand might also work for models other than the E495 and E490. Please let me know if this is the case so I can add it to the title.
