This practical cable clip is designed to protect the cables connected to the print head on your Printrbot Simple Metal 3D printer. It functions as an effective cable holder by being mounted on the Y-arm, just above the fan, thereby keeping the cables safely away from the printer's moving components.
By using this plastic clip, the risk of cables being pinched between the extruder motor and the Y-axis motor is minimised. This is crucial for preventing potential blockages of the Y-axis, which can otherwise result in uneven movements, excessive belt wear, or inaccurate prints. Furthermore, the clip helps protect the cables from repeated bending near the motor, which can extend their lifespan and contribute to a more stable and reliable printing experience.
