This bracket is designed to upgrade your AKG K612 headphones by enabling the installation of a 3.5 mm jack socket in the left cup. It replaces the original fixed cable outlet, giving you the freedom to use a detachable cable. This significantly improves the flexibility and ease of use of your headphones.
The bracket is precisely dimensioned; the hole for the wires through the bracket is elliptical (2.3 x 3.3 mm), and the hole for the jack socket has a diameter of 8.2 mm. To ensure an optimal fit, minor adjustments to the headphone's original housing may be necessary.
In addition to the AKG K612, the bracket can potentially also be used for other AKG headphone models such as the K701 and K601, as these models often share a similar cup design. Compatibility with the K400, K401, K500, and K501 series is also possible, where the cable exit and outer cover appear uniform. It is important to note that the bracket is not compatible with the AKG K301 and K300 models, due to differences in their construction and cable exit.
