The trap is designed as a smart top piece that easily mounts onto an empty jar, such as a mustard jar with a diameter of about 60 mm. Other containers of a similar size can also be used, making it a flexible addition to your household.
To activate the trap, simply fill the chosen jar with apple cider vinegar, which is known to attract fruit flies. The unique design, especially if the trap is in a dark colour, helps lure the insects into the trap where they are safely caught. This method is an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical sprays, as it utilises the reuse of existing containers and a natural lure. An ideal solution for a more pleasant and fly-free home.
