Delonghi Dedica KG521 Espresso Mod for Finer Coffee Grinders

This is a modification that enables the Delonghi Dedica KG521 coffee grinder to grind fine enough for espresso with a non-pressurized basket.

It turns out that the KG521 can grind much finer than it is set to from the factory. This mod will raise the inner conical bean 1mm to offset each setting to approx. 4-5 steps finer. This makes it possible to grind fine enough to get a lot more flavor out of, say, a Delonghi Dedica EC685 using the standard pressurized basket or, even better, a third-party non-pressurized basket.

Must admit that the settings on the KG521 do not allow fine adjustments, but as luck would have it, mine ended up with just the right roughness. If yours doesn't, you can adjust the thickness of the spacer and print a new one. Also note, if you go too fine, g...
