This specially designed front axle cap is developed to address this exact challenge.
The cap is equipped with an integrated ventilation system that runs through the center of the screw and into the top of the cap itself. This ensures controlled pressure equalization, preventing oil seepage. The grip section on the cap is designed with a significant overlap, which makes the venting weatherproof and splash-proof, protecting against the elements during operation. However, it is important to note that the cap is not intended for submersion in water.
To facilitate handling, flat surfaces have been added to the cap so it can be easily removed with a wrench or pliers if it is too tight. The thread measures ",-10 UNC, which makes this John Deere front axle cap potentially compatible with JD110TLB and other John Deere 4000 series tractors, although this is not fully tested. The existing O-ring also fits this design well, ensuring a good seal.
