This bracket is designed to provide effective cable management on the Exos-2 telescope mount's tripod legs. It acts as a robust cable holder, helping to secure the cables from the PMC-Eight control box to the mount. This minimises the risk of the cables getting caught or tangled as the telescope rotates, which can prevent the motors from stalling and potentially damaging the equipment. In addition to primary control cables, this cable clip can also be used to hold heat wires and astrophotography camera cables securely in place, contributing to a more organised and hassle-free observation session.
A variation of the bracket is also offered, which includes a practical 12V power distribution panel. This panel is equipped with six holes: two for RCA connectors, typically used for heating tapes, and four for standard female power connectors. This feature allows 12V power to be supplied via a single cable grip and then distributed to multiple peripherals such as cameras, heaters, focusing equipment and filter wheels. The bracket is designed to clip easily onto a tripod leg with a diameter of 2 inches.
