This mounting bracket is designed to attach a Logitech C270 USB camera to the Y-carriage of your Hephestos 2 3D printer. This solution allows you to monitor your prints in real time, as the camera moves synchronously with the print bed. This ensures an undisturbed view of the entire printing process, without the camera shaking or moving independently of the print.
The camera holder is easily mounted in two existing M4 holes at the front of the Hephestos 2's Y-carriage. The camera lens is positioned centrally over the print bed, and the camera itself is located just outside the print head's range of motion, eliminating the risk of interference during printing.
To optimise your print monitoring, this bracket is ideal for integration with OctoPrint. It supports a stable setup, and cable routing can be efficiently secured, as the solution allows the use of a cord holder or a cord mount to keep the cord out of the way and prevent it from getting caught in the print bed.
Although the bracket is designed to be lightweight, please note that with very tall prints, the model may eventually run out of the camera's field of view. In such cases, consider adjusting the camera angle or fitting a wide-angle lens for the best coverage.
