This interactive sailboat model is developed to improve understanding of sailing rules, especially within team sailing. The model is equipped with a rotating sail, which can be adjusted and held in place thanks to appropriate friction. To facilitate classroom teaching, the sailboat has a magnetic back, which makes it easy to attach to whiteboards or other magnetic surfaces. Its design allows scaling in size, so it can be adapted to different teaching needs. Furthermore, the model is constructed to be able to float, which opens up the possibility of practical demonstrations of buoyancy and basic principles of sailing.
